Djenius Guitar Practice Tracker

When I was a lawyer, I had to “bill hours.” This involved tracking the details of everything I did each day and for how long so I could appropriately charge our clients for it. It was horrible, truly one of the worst things about practicing law.

So naturally, I made an app that allows me to do that when I practice guitar!

Djenius is an app (Android-only for the time being) that allows me to track the details of what, how, and how long I’m practicing. For some reason, unlike my experience in law, I find doing this to be very motivating.

The app is very home-brew and very tailored to my specific needs and regimen as a gypsy jazz guitarist. I suspect that the app could work well for other instruments, genres, and even non-musical contexts, but for now I’m keeping the focus narrow and personal.

If you’d like to download it anyway, feel free. The functionality should mostly be there but it’s a long, long way from done and polished. If you do try it out and want to give me feedback (and don’t already have my number, which seems very unlikely) then shoot me a message on my contact page.
