Jordan Michael Call is my gypsy jazz artist name. I fell in love with this genre of swing, pioneered by the Belgian genius Django Reinhardt, when I was in college. It has been an obsession for a decade and a half now.
As a performer and soloist, I’ve played with groups across the country, including Red Rock Hot Club, Hot House West, the Hot Club of Boston, and the Hot Club of Baltimore.
I also write and produce the music. My debut album Saturdays at the Bebop (released under the artist name Jordan Call), features ten original compositions. I recorded, produced, and mixed it myself. I also recorded, mixed, and mastered Trio and Swing 25 , the debut EP and full-length album by Baltimore prodigy Sam Farthing.
I’m currently working on a new album under Jordan Michael Call, a dedicated gypsy jazz online persona. If you’re interested, follow me on Spotify and Instagram.
