If you want to succeed on Spotify, you’re supposed to pick a niche, stick to it, and keep your branding consistent. This project under my regular name is where I do the opposite, following whatever musical ideas I’m excited about without worrying about genre, brand, or consistency.
For example, I’ve contributed banjo Americana to a soundtrack for a tabletop role-playing game, released a gypsy jazz album of all original songs, and made an EP of “Jazz Pop” that blends hip hop, boleros, bossa nova, swing, and electronic music, all with pop melodies. That last album is my favorite: it’s called Love Songs for a Little Family, and you can check it out below.
